Fans of graphic novels have a considerable reason to visit Dalmatia this May, as the MAFEST event comes in its jubilee 12^th edition. Authors from the region and far-away countries will arrive to Croatian city of Makarska, where they will share their experiences and impressions of working in this unique industry.
The festival is promoted with posters that feature motifs from Makarska, and every year the festival catalogue, newspaper and other promotional materials are issued. 

Mafest was organized by the association Mozaik strip in 2006, and since then has been taking place every year at the end of May. The festival includes exhibitions, interviews, meetings, lectures, thematic forums, drawing workshops and the signing of autographs for visitors. New releases are presented, unestablished authors and their comics, educational workshops for children and youngsters, as well as humanitarian action.

“The basic idea of MaFest and it’s trademark is socializing and fun in the rhythm of comics. We wanted to organise a festival that will give us all a beautiful weekend with series of fun, comics, promotions consecutive meetings that will certainly result in some new ideas for years to come …”
