Ivana Armanini (MFA, Academy of Fine Arts, Zagreb; Rector’s Award recipient) is a Zagreb-based comic artist and illustrator with a career spanning over 30 years. She has authored 11 independent comics, artist’s books, and zines, and has organized exhibitions and tours both locally and internationally—including the Love, Resist ETC tour (Munich, Sisak, Sarajevo, Naples, Bari, Vienna; 2023–26). Her work is held in library and museum collections across Croatia, France, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Poland, and the USA; three of her titles were acquired by the Croatian Ministry of Culture for public libraries. She served on the jury for the Angoulême Alternative Comics Award (2021) and founded Komikaze (2002–present). In 2020, Komikaze won the award for Best Alternative Comic at the Angoulême International Comics Festival, with the jury praising the project as “one of the best examples of editorial experimentation… a sharp selection of global underground comics, particularly from Eastern Europe.”
The album Love, Resist ETC gathers seven years of raw, punk-infused, and politically engaged comics into a single, uncompromising book, created as part of the Komikaze Femicomix series. The title itself—Love, Resist ETC—sets the tone: a concise, manifesto-like rhythm that intertwines deep human impulses (love), political engagement (resistance), and a sense of saturation with the endlessly repeating patterns of the system (etc.). The work oscillates between figuration and pure abstraction, and the Slovenian portal LUD Literatura praised it for its punk audacity. The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia acquired works for public libraries throughout the country.
Ivana Armanini (mag. Art.
Album Love, Resist ETC okuplja 7 godina sirovog, punkom prožetog i politički angažiranog stripa u jednu beskompromisnu knjigu, nastalu kao dio serije Komikaze Femicomix.

PRESS: FANRIVISTA. IT, 2023 / TOP reportaža s ue festa / top report from ue fest: “Raznovrsnim izloženim radovima osvježili smo oči i um, no onaj koji nas je konceptualno posebno zadivio sastoji se od Ivaninih 9 strip kadrova pod nazivom “U potrazi za čovjekom” a fokusiran je na učinke tehnologije na kognitivne procese čovjeka, potkopavajući antropocentričnu viziju, kao i one orijentirane na mainstream medijsku propagandu i konzumerizam.”
